Jakarta — PT Dana Syariah Indonesia (Danasyariah) took part in the Dhuha Study Forum organized by the South Jakarta Regional Board of the Indonesian Association of Muslim Intellectuals (ICMI) on Saturday, August 2, 2025, at Pesantren Al-Mutaallimin, Kebayoran Lama, South Jakarta.
The forum carried the theme “Exploring Mudharabah Contracts in the Practice of Sharia Fintech”, focusing on the application of sharia principles in the financial technology industry.
The keynote speaker was Ustadz Muhammad Faishol, Lc, MA, a member of ICMI South Jakarta’s Board of Experts and a member of the Executive Board of the National Sharia Council – Indonesian Ulema Council (DSN-MUI), specifically in the field of Non-Bank Financial Institutions. In his presentation, he emphasized the vital role of sharia fintech in addressing the real needs of entrepreneurs, reviewed the current development of various fintech products, and highlighted the importance of maintaining the integrity of sharia principles, particularly in the application of mudharabah contracts.
“Sharia fintech holds great potential within the Muslim economic ecosystem. However, it requires stronger adherence to sharia principles to ensure that the products offered truly align with the maqashid sharia,” said Ustadz Faishol before the audience.
Interestingly, the case studies sharing session featured representatives from Danasyariah as a practical example of implementing sharia contracts within the fintech ecosystem. M. Salman Alfarisie, Head of Marketing and Sales Strategy Division at Danasyariah, presented a range of products currently offered by the company.
Also present was Ustadz Ahmad Ifham, a member of Danasyariah’s Sharia Supervisory Board (DPS), who explained the implementation of various sharia contracts applied in each of the company's financial products.
