Jakarta, Danasyariah participated in the Focus Group Discussion (FGD) titled "Study on the Socio-Economic Impact and Sustainability of the Fintech Lending Industry in Indonesia", organized by the Center of Reform on Economics (CORE) Indonesia on Friday, February 21, 2025, at Hotel Ashley, Jakarta. The discussion focused on the role of the fintech lending industry in the national economy and the challenges faced in ensuring its sustainability.
Survey results presented during the discussion indicated that the public still relies on fintech lending as an easy and quick alternative for financing. Interestingly, the majority of users utilize these funds for productive needs or business purposes.
As one of the representatives of peer-to-peer (P2P) fintech lending offering Sharia-based financing, Danasyariah reaffirmed its commitment to supporting productive financing for business actors. Under its financing scheme, Danasyariah requires collateral in the form of property assets as a risk mitigation strategy, providing a sense of security for lenders participating in its ecosystem.
The discussion also brought together various stakeholders, including representatives from the Financial Services Authority (OJK), fintech associations, economic research institutions, and industry players. A key focus of the discussion was how fintech lending can grow sustainably through regulatory support that fosters a healthier and more beneficial industry for society.
As a licensed and OJK-regulated institution, Danasyariah continues to strive to provide safe, transparent, and Sharia-compliant financing solutions. Participation in this FGD is part of Danasyariah’s active efforts to support the growth of an inclusive and responsible fintech lending industry in Indonesia.
